CBO Grant Consultants has been awarded a contract to guide the development of an organizational Strategic Plan for Bmore POWER (Peers Offering Wellness Education and Resources), a network of people with lived experience of drug use, operating under the auspices of Behavioral Health System Baltimore, Inc., a nonprofit organization established by Baltimore City to manage the city’s behavioral health system—the system of care that addresses emotional health and well-being and provides services for individuals with substance use and mental health disorders. Bmore POWER provides street-based outreach in Baltimore City with the goal of reaching people who use drugs, offering them harm reduction education and supplies, and linking them with health and treatment resources.
CBO Grant Consultants will work with the members of Bmore POWER to set the organization’s Strategic Direction—where does the organization have the most potential to make meaningful impact in the next 2-3 years; and identify its Strategic Imperatives—what must the organization do or have in place in order to fulfill that potential. Each Strategic Imperative will carry with it a set of Operational Imperatives which, altogether, will form the basis of a 2-3 year Operational Plan.
